St. Mark’s Children’s and Youth Choirs and Orchestras

Allow me first to congratulate everyone who participated in our wonderful presentations last year. I know the congregation appreciates and enjoys all of your singing in worship and special presentations at Christmas and in the year-end musical. We are truly fortunate to have such talented children and youth! Our first meeting will be on Kick-off Sunday, September 10^th. Here are some ways you may participate in music at St. Mark’s:

Children’s and Youth Orchestra

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. — in rooms 10 and 11 kitty corner from church office.

Bring any instrument at any level beginning to advanced! Make a joyful noise!!

Angel Choir

10:30 - 11:00 a.m. — upstairs in Hudler Hall for pre – K and Kinders

(movement and music, instruments, games, singing praise!)

Celebration Singers!

11:05 - 11:50 a.m. — in choir room 4 & 5 near the breezeway. Children and youth are dismissed from church for choir after the children’s sermon) for 1^st through 6^th, middle school welcome too! You may find your child on the playground with me after church if we are not in the choir room.

Movers and Shakers

Middle and High School students singing on special occasions will meet right after 11:00 a.m. church or by special arranged rehearsal

 in rooms  4 & 5.

Choirs begin on Kick-off Sunday, Sept. 10^th.

Orchestras being Sept. 18^th.

 

We usually but not always sing at the beginning of each month, at Christmas and for the Musical around Mother’s Day.

1^st Performance: October 1^st, 11:00 a.m. service

Christmas: Mini Performance on Sunday, 17^th Dec.

CHILDREN & YOUTH CHURCH SCHOOL
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 (Spring and Fall only)

As part of its commitment to healthy families, St. Mark's offers quality Christian education. Classes use "The Word" curriculum, a lectionary-based, creative and interactive curriculum which fosters a sense of wonder in the Spirit.

Church school classes are available for preschool through high school. They meet Sunday mornings at 9:30. Choir is available for preschool through middle school. Nursery for infants is also available.

Enrichment Programs during 10:45 AM worship are available in addition to the nursery for the preschool through 2nd grade following Cloud Choir practice. These are located in upstairs Hudler Hall. Third through fifth grade attend worship and leave after the Children's sermon to practice with Rainbow Choir.

WEEKDAY PRESCHOOL / KINDERGARTEN

St. Mark's Preschool and Kindergarten have been serving families and children with quality early childhood education since September 1966. We offer a full range of options, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Children may attend 3, 4 or 5 days per week, morning, full-day or extended.
