The care of the members and friends of St. Mark's is an important part of
the mission of the church. Towards this end, the following services and
programs have been established:
OUR PASTORS
Stuart Taylor - Originally from
Greenville, S. C., Stuart completed a Master of Divinity at Princeton
Theological Seminary and served as an Associate Pastor in Athens, GA. Before
to becoming Co-Pastor at St. Mark’s in 1993, Stuart was a national organizer
for Witness for Peace in Nicaragua. He and his wife, Lisa Kiser, have two
daughters.
Michael D. Smith, Parish
Associate - San Francisco Theological Seminary, MDiv; University of
Dubuque Theological Seminary, DMin (Congregational Revitalization). Campus Minister, 1966-77 (U of A, '71-'77);

Pastor, Papago United Presbyterian, '04-'07. Member, More
Light Presbyterians national board. Mike
and his wife Sylvia Thorson-Smith have three children.
BOARD
OF DEACONS
The mission of the Deacons is that of care and compassion:
a) On Call: Help with food provision on a short-term basis, minor home
repairs.
b) Hospital Visitation
c) Network of Concern: Deacons make contact with parishioners on an on-going
basis to keep in touch with their needs. In return, parishioners are welcome
to contact their Deacon if a need or concern arises that they wish to bring
to the attention of the pastors or the Session.
d) Parish Nursing
e) Servant Leader Award/Deacons' Offering
f) Memorial Service Receptions
PASTORAL SERVICES
* Pastoral Care: Hospitalizations, deaths, weddings, baptisms,
funerals/memorial services, desire to join the church or any other need
please call the Pastors' Assistant at the church office.
* Counseling or Spiritual Direction: Call for an appointment.
